At W&L Subaru, we believe that being a part of a community means more than just providing reliable vehicles-it means nurturing the land we all share. We were thrilled to partner once again with the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy (NPC) for our annual tree distribution in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation.
Growing a Greener Community, One Tree at a Time
Our commitment to the environment is a core pillar of the Subaru Love Promise. Over the last two years, we've been proud to donate more than 300 trees to our neighbors in the local community. While a sapling might look small today, its long-term impact is monumental.
According to data from the Arbor Day Foundation, over a 40-year period, these 300+ trees will:
- Save 18,481 gallons of runoff, protecting our local waterways.💧
- Remove 256 lbs of air pollutants, ensuring cleaner air for our families. 🌬️
- Sequester 296,622 lbs of CO2-the environmental equivalent of taking 29 cars off the road for an entire year! 🚗
A Day of Education and Local Flavor 🐝
This event was about more than just distribution; it was a celebration of conservation. Guests enjoyed unique experiences, including:
- Honey Tastings: We learned about the vital role of pollinators and the fascinating life cycle of honeybees with our friends from Breezy Hollow Bees.
- Community Fuel: A huge thank you to Simply Bowls and Radel's Raging BBQ for keeping our guests and hard-working crew fueled throughout the day.
