Subaru is preparing to expand its all-electric lineup once again, and the upcoming 2026 Uncharted is shaping up to be one of the automaker's most exciting additions. Expected to arrive in spring 2026, this all-electric subcompact SUV builds on the foundation established by the popular Solterra while introducing new technology, updated capability, and fresh styling. The Uncharted blends a compact footprint with genuine all-season confidence, making it an appealing choice for drivers from Selinsgrove to Bloomsburg who want electric efficiency without sacrificing adventure-ready versatility.
Performance and Range
The Uncharted will launch with two distinct powertrain configurations. Sport and GT models utilize a dual-motor system that produces 338 horsepower and delivers an estimated 290 miles of range. EV-tuned versions of the automaker's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-MODE® traction management systems enable surefooted handling and control for slick roads, muddy access trails, and wintry Danville drives.
If maximizing range is a high priority for your Sunbury commute, consider the Premium trim--the first front-wheel-drive Subaru model in nearly 30 years. This single-motor model generates 221 horsepower and pushes estimated range beyond 300 miles. Regardless of powertrain, every Uncharted supports DC fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes. Plus, thanks to the standard North American Charging System (NACS) port, the Uncharted has access to an expansive public charging network, including Tesla Superchargers.
Design
Although compact on the outside, the 2026 Uncharted emphasizes maneuverability and practicality. The low-mounted battery contributes to balanced handling, while a tight turning radius helps you navigate narrow streets and tight parking areas with ease. Its exterior design features bold LED lighting signatures, an illuminated Subaru emblem, available two-tone paint, and low-profile roof rails for additional utility.
Interior and Versatility
The Subaru Uncharted offers a clean, contemporary interior built with sustainability and comfort in mind. The cabin features eco-friendly materials and ample head and leg room for all passengers. The cargo area provides 25 cubic feet for luggage or gear behind the second row, and even more with the rear seats folded.
Nicely equipped, the Subaru Uncharted comes standard with amenities like a power driver's seat, a power liftgate, and Subaru's All-Weather Package with heated front seats and a windshield wiper de-icer. Depending on the configuration, you can upgrade your Lewisburg travels with available comfort/convenience amenities like:
- Heated steering wheel
- Power passenger's seat
- StarTex® water-repellent upholstery
- Ventilated front seats
- Heated rear outboard seats
- Panoramic glass roof with motorized shade
Technology and Safety
The 2026 Uncharted includes the newest Subaru technologies, including a striking 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enable seamless smartphone connectivity without cord clutter, while dual wireless charging pads let you go completely cable-free. Plus, thanks to the multiple USB-C ports throughout the cabins, all occupants can keep their devices powered for the entire trip. All 2026 Uncharted models come standard with an expanded roster of Subaru EyeSight® driver aids, including:
- Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management
- Emergency Steering Assist
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing Assist
- Blind Spot Monitor with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
- Lane Departure Alert and Prevention
