W&L Subaru Powers the Columbia County Traveling Library Bookmobile

May 2026 - W&L Subaru is thrilled to announce the continuation of our partnership with the Columbia County Traveling Library. Following an official check presentation yesterday right here at W&L Subaru, we have officially renewed our commitment to keeping local literacy on the move through 2026.

Through our Subaru Loves Learning initiative, W&L Subaru has delivered a $6,000 total sponsorship dedicated entirely to covering the Bookmobile's fuel expenses for one full year. By completely taking care of these fuel costs, this 12-month partnership ensures that rising pump prices won't slow down the library's mission. It allows the library to keep the Bookmobile fully operational and reliably on the road, bringing nearly 5,000 of their newest books, audiobooks, and DVDs directly to a diverse rural population of approximately 35,000 residents spread across 25 townships and boroughs in Columbia County

For many individuals in the more isolated stretches of the county, the biweekly Bookmobile stop is more than just a library visit-it fosters a vital sense of belonging and community pride.
