Community Party, Sales Fundraiser Result In Helpful Donation

July/August 2023

On a warm Saturday in July of 2023, W&L Subaru and Milton Public Library invited everyone in the community to a Community Party to learn about the pivotal role played by the library within the local community.

As part of the day's festivities, the library also hosted numerous food trucks. These proved to be an enormous hit as their mouth-watering scents wafted across the area enticing all the guests. Each visitor received a special wristband to allow them to relish the delicious treats provided by these various food trucks, compliments of W&L Subaru. Aside from ensuring everyone's taste buds were satisfied, we offered an array of exciting prizes, raising the event's entertainment value.

However, the focus wasn't merely on entertainment. Visitors had an excellent opportunity to donate towards the library's fundraising drive, helping ensure it could continue providing invaluable services to the community. According to the library's director Kris LaVanish, this was the most well attended library event of the year! Nearly 200 people visited the library and the remarkable turnout underscored the significance of the support in bringing the community together to celebrate education and learning. The Subaru Loves Learning initiative truly helped the Milton Public Library find new and exciting ways to engage with our community.

To further help the library with its fundraising goals, W&L ran a promotion for all those potentially seeking or purchasing a brand-new Subaru. For every new Subaru purchased throughout the month of August, we committed to contributing $50 to the library. This fundraiser boosted the overall funds generated to support the library to a total contribution of $8,600.

Our Community Party coupled with the Subaru Loves Learning initiative wasn't merely an engaging affair, but a collaborative endeavor to underline the significance of the Milton Public Library and its tremendous value to the community.
